WELCOMING COMMITTEE

This group of volunteers provides, plans and coordinates the social functions and recreational activities in the parish. They aid in parish unity and spirituality through fellowship. They are the welcoming part of the parish, especially in making new members feel accepted and needed. Meetings are held periodically and are open to any member of the parish.

Duties & Responsibilities of the welcoming Committee:

NEW PARISHIONER GREETING

This group would be the welcoming aspect of the committee. They will make contact with new parishioners, greeting them, as well as inviting them to be active in the parish.

ANNUAL PARISH PICNIC

This group would promote and lead the annual parish picnic bringing together the parishioners for a day of fun, relaxation and fellowship.

HOSPITALITY WEEKENDS

This would include planning weekends throughout the year to welcome new parishioners. It would also include planning parish wide weekends of a social nature, such as coffee and donuts after the Masses.

MINISTRY WEEKEND

This group would coordinate the planing and implementation of a weekend set up to display the various ministries available to the parishioners. It would involve coordinating all the different committees, ministries and societies of the parish to display and promote their activities.
