This year’s campaign has begun. Letters and pledge cards have been mailed to past donors to the Appeal asking your support to the many ministries, programs, and needs offered by the Diocese and parishes. We will not be showing the video this year but it is available for you to see on the diocesan website (www.dioceseofscranton.org)

We could really use your help and support in our part of the Diocesan Annual Appeal. Since the grand jury report, some people have been reluctant to donate to the Appeal. Bishop Bambera has responded to this: “Annual Appeal donations are restricted to be used to support five Diocesan ministries – Catholic Social Services and parish outreach programs, Catholic education in schools and parishes, clergy education and care, parish life and ministry formation and Catholic media and communications. Gifts to the Appeal are used solely to support these ministries and will not be used to defray legal fees or to fund the recently established Survivors Compensation Program.” So will you help us make our Parish goal of $55,000.

As of December 15th, 2018, we have reached just over 61% of that total from 165 families. Every donation counts, big or small. Envelopes are on the table in the Narthex or just use a plain envelope marked Appeal. Help us to help one another in these programs that touch so many lives and do so much good for our Church and our faith.
